The patterns herein are designed for a person to improvise over group rhythms, ones commonly done on hand drums in drum circles and gatherings. A person¹s knowledge of basic rhythms and playing technique is taken for granted since it would be a prerequisite to being in that particular performance situation. Knowing how to play correctly is important. Learning from a qualified teacher is suggested to attain proper hand drum technique.
